Урбанізація та її наслідки для історичних ареалів мегаполісів: пошук балансу розвитку і спадщини

The study is devoted to the issues of finding a balance between the infrastructural development of megacities and the preservation of historical areas as important centers of cultural heritage. The modern challenges caused by urbanization are considered, in particular the destruction of historical sites due to unauthorized development, physical aging of buildings and the impact of military operations. The emphasis is on the need to introduce cadastral accounting of monument protection restrictions, the use of geoinformation technologies and improving the regulatory framework for effective management of land resources and cultural heritage. Innovative approaches to the restoration of historical quarters using modern technologies and international experience are proposed. The role of social responsibility and public involvement in the process of cultural heritage preservation is especially emphasized.
