Abstract

Abstract. The paper studies the problems of a country’s recovery after a war or a military conflict. The European experience of post-war restoration of lands after military conflicts, as well as countries such as Afghanistan, the USA, Canada, and Japan, were studied. Military and man-made impacts cause specific contamination of the soil environment and lands. Restoration of post-war territories is a priority component for their safe development. The foreign experience of land restoration as a result of military operations shows the importance of implementing a holistic approach that takes into account environmental, social and economic aspects.
